KVAR^® EC

The KVAR^® EC (Energy Controller) is an electromagnetic control system that can save up to 25% on your electrical bill by decreasing the amount of lost and wasted power at the meter.  This technology is U.S. patented, NASA tested and UL tested.

Here’s how it works.  The KVAR^® EC fine-tunes the electrical system from the motor (inductive equipment) back through the electric meter.  This slows down electric meter operation, ultimately reducing electrical consumption.  The reactive power is stored to create an electromagnetic field around the inductive windings of a motor.

As motors operate, reactive power is pulled and pushed to and from the KVAR^® EC at 60 cycles/second.  The KVAR unit stores and releases what the motors need to function more efficiently.  This serves to reduce the heat generated on the lines, which in turn reduce the strain placed on all the electrical components.  Electricity that would normally be pushed back through the power distribution lines is reclaimed and recycled by the KVAR^® EC.
